Our Next Meeting**
Our next meeting is Wednesday March 28, 2018. It will be held in our normal location...at the Falmouth Art Center.
Our guest speaker will be Beate Dalbec, an award winning nature and travel photographer. Beate was born and raised in Germany and now resides in Rochester, MA. Her love affair with photography started with a Minolta SLR her parents gave her for her 15th birthday to help document her families travels. She is still infected with the travel bug and loves to explore different regions of the world, both near and far.
Beate considers Art Wolfe to be a big influence on how she approaches photography and he taught her to look at the world in new ways. Her "Bison at Grand Prismatic" image was used by the State of Montana for a nationwide 2013 advertising campaign. She was a winner in the Yellowstone Forever contest and her image was part of the Nature's Best exhibit in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C.
She is also available for private equine and pet photography sessions.
Besides photography her big passion is horses and the art of dressage. A sampling of Beate's spectacular images can be found on her website at www.beatedalbecphotography.com.
The meeting will start at 7:00 PM, with refreshments and socializing at 6:30. The public is welcome.
**We will keep you updated on a make-up for the cancelled March 14th competition.
